Marije Laffeber

Marije Laffeber is an independent consultant Government Affairs and Public Policy based in Brussels and the Netherlands.

Laffeber worked on projects with parties and governments, leading teams in 60 countries. She is a former member of the leadership of the Party of European Socialists, where she was Deputy Secretary General (2012 - 2022). She was a member of the leadership of the Dutch Labour Party at the national level - International Secretary and Vice-Chair for European Policies in the Executive Board (2003 - 2012). And was member of a number of boards of directors of Dutch, European and global organizations. She studied Journalism, Communication and Law.

For more than twenty years she has worked in all EU capitals, building European, transatlantic and global partnerships. This included providing training to and coaching women and young professionals, leading campaigns(including the first EU Presidency Common Candidate campaign in 2014), taking part in panels, European policy development& policy influencing and participating in international election observation missions (amongst others to Tunisia in 2014 and Ukraine in 2019).
