Ånen Ringard
Vice President (VP) Health Care Europe, Global
Ånen comes from the position as Senior advisor for the Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry in Norway (LMI). Here he has been heading the market access/health economist team. He has also coordinated the work on vaccines and medicines for small patient groups (orphan drugs). In addition, he was the Norwegian representative to several working groups in the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (efpia).
Prior to working in LMI Ånen has held different positions in the public sector. He has amongst others served as head of secretariat for the Commission on Priority Setting in Health Care (Norheimutvalget), and he has work three periods as senior adviser/head of secretariat for the Norwegian Council for Priority Setting in the Health and Care Services. He has also been a health services researcher at the University of Oslo and the Akershus University Hospital. Ånen was the main author of the World Health Organization/European Observatory 2013 review of the Norwegian heath care system, and has published academic articles in international and national peer reviewed journals, as well as in anthologies.
Ånen has studied political science at the University of Oslo. He holds a PhD in health services research/Health policy from the Faculty of medicine, University of Oslo.
